Poly Tanks

Fifteen pump and holding tanks in low profile and standard depth, moulded in glass fiber-reinforced polyester. Light enough to set without a crane on most jobs, and nothing in them corrodes.

Depth decides which family you need

The two families exist for one reason: how much cover you have between the inlet invert and grade.

Standard depth (PP) tanks run 78 to 104 inches overall with inlet inverts at 63 to 80 inches. They hold more per footprint and suit a normal excavation.

Low profile (LPP) tanks compress the same volume into 59 to 68 inches, with inverts at 45 or 46 inches. When the sewer comes in shallow, when the water table is high, or when you are working under a driveway, this is the family that fits.

  • Seamless moulded body — no joints to open up under load
  • Inlet and outlet sealed with ASTM C923 gaskets
  • Polylok 24 in riser, stainless fastened, tamper-resistant lid screws
  • Anti-flotation collar sized to your water table before dispatch

Tank schedule

Every model, every dimension

Straight from the Hydro-Action Florida tank schedule.

Schedule to come

The poly tank schedule — volumes, dimensions and weights — drops in here. The table previously shown was the fiberglass tank schedule and has been removed.

Need a buoyancy check in the meantime? The calculator does it — enter burial depth and water table and it returns anti-flotation collar sizing.

Why polyester over concrete

What you gain and what you give up

Gain

It doesn’t corrode

Hydrogen sulfide eats concrete from the inside of a wet well. Glass fiber-reinforced polyester has no chemistry for it to attack, so the tank you set is the tank you have in twenty years.

Gain

It’s light

A PP1200 is 536 lb dry against several tons of concrete. That changes the equipment on site, the access you need, and what a set costs you.

Give up

It wants ballast

Light means buoyant. In a high water table an empty tank will try to float, so the anti-flotation collar isn’t optional — it’s the trade you accept for everything above.

Next step

Tell us the invert and the water table

Required volume, inlet invert depth, seasonal high water and whether it’s under traffic. We’ll come back with a model, a collar size and a price.
